Building Career Pathways - High School to Workforce
Blue Ridge CTC launched a career pathway program that transitions high school juniors through CTC degree seeking into industry. With the partnerships of employers such as P&G, students are provided a clear workforce pathway. Integrated Production Technologies is a SREB developed curriculum that encompasses many facets of mechatronics. Students complete their Junior and Senior year of high school and matriculate with 9-12 credits into degree seeking in the Mechatronics. This course uses dedicated faculty and classrooms. Launching in AY 17, new career pathways will be launched (up to six). Coined “JumpStart,” the new pathways include Healthcare Professionals, Education, Business, Applied Lab Technician, CyberSecurity, and Electrical Distribution. With building College in the High School programs, Blue Ridge CTC is meeting the economic challenges of West Virginia.
